Jewelry and Metals - Fall 2001:
There were various assignments in this class, beginning with basic deconstruction and assembly exercises, and three main graded projects.
Assignment One: Piercing (aka: cutting something with a saw)
Cross-section of an orange, copper.
Assignment Two: Joining (aka: soldering things together and making rivets)

Soldered brass figure, 5 techniques used.
A piece of aluminum joined to a piece of brass using a copper rivet.
Project One: Culinary Art (something you can use in the kitchen or dining room)

A forged copper bowl with a blue-green stippled patina on the exterior, and a brushed satin finish on the interior. Seen from the front, side, back, and funky green bottom.
Assignment Three: Stone Setting (making a ring)

A seamed silver band with a bezel-set hematite cabochon.
